The Galaxy Z Flip 6 is Finally Getting a Much-Needed Upgrade That Should Have Been Done Years Ago

Samsung is hard at work with the launch of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 and all the other devices that are going to be released in July. It appears that the company has moved some pieces around, and we are going to see a number of devices this year. Now, the U.S. variant of the Galaxy Z Flip 6 has surfaced on Geekbench, showing some of the information about the upcoming clamshell foldable.

Galaxy Z Flip 6's Geekbench listing shows a pretty capable foldable heading our way

Unsurprisingly, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 will bring Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. The phone has the model number SM-741U, which indicates that this is the U.S. version, but the global version should not be different.

The Galaxy Z Flip 6 that has appeared on the Geekbench shows an octa-core processor, with the prime core running at 3.40GHz, three mid-cores at 3.15GHz, as well as two more mid-cores running at 2.95GHz. There are also two efficiency cores that are running at 2.27GHz. This information is more than enough to tell us that this is indeed the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 for Galaxy. So, if you are worried about the performance of this clamshell foldable, the processor has you covered.

One of the best things about the upcoming Galaxy Z Flip 6 is the GPU that it is sporting. The Adreno 750 found in the phone will deliver exceptional graphical performance, so if you are looking for a phone that allows you to have fun while gaming, this definitely is something that you should be looking forward to.

The listing also reveals that the Galaxy Z Flip 6 in question comes with eight gigs of RAM, which is standard for the clamshell foldable. However, we have heard rumors that Samsung could also offer another variant with 12 gigs of RAM. I am not sure if that is going to be the case, but I would really love it if we got more RAM for this phone, as it would really allow for better performance.

Regarding the release date, the Galaxy Z Flip 6 is scheduled to come out in July, later this year. There is also word about a more affordable Fan Edition variant, which is due sometime in the fourth quarter of this year. Rest assured, we will let you know if that actually happens or not.
